I found the deconstruction in the Last Jedi a juvenile rebellion attempt that Star Wars should have been spared but yeah, Star Wars was already ruined with the horrible prequels.
My kids (7 and 9) have no idea the prequels or the new trilogy exist and I plan keeping it this way as long as humanly possible. Some things are too tragic for kids to be confronted with
