Bizarre contacts behavior in ipad os 27

I updated all my devices. Everything went well. EXCEPT. I cannot edit contacts on the ipad. I’m trying to add a street address to an existing contact and there was no edit label. Checked the settings etc. Went to the phone and there it was!!
Went to the ipad and deleted the non-street address version, went back to the phone and the address was gone. I’m sure it’s something goofy but appreciate any ideas.

I have no idea why you couldn’t edit on your iPad. I usually start troubleshooting efforts with a restart. But if you are syncing your devices using iCloud that would explain why the contact disappeared on your iPhone.

And you can recover data from iCloud for up to 30 days after deletion.
