Fantastical is great. But of occasional calendar user like me, paying $57 a year is way too much. Even at 50% off their price doesn’t make a sense. Unfortunately. Wish they had multiple prices available, where I could select features I need/want instead of current: Free and Premium.
Downie can work with varied sites…
I’d been looking out for Keepassium and Strongbox to see if either would drop and Strongbox seems to have got in there first. I wasn’t sure if I needed Strongbox on the Mac, as KeepassXC actually isn’t bad, but having just tried the autofill feature with Safari on the Pro trial, and using on iPhone, I think this might well get my money and replace my 1Password subscription.
In part because I can’t use 1Password at work, but Keepass is installed for use and I’ve forgotten how flexible it is. Work related settings are a bit of a pain in terms of how quickly it signs me out, but that’s understandable.
That’s where CamelCamelCamel comes in handy to try and catch those.
Giorgos Trigonakis is offering 50% off his apps till December 1 for Black Friday. They all look very handy and I’ve used File List Export, which works very well. I’m likely to also get Text Workflow as I don’t think I really need the much more expensive, but also excellent, TextSoap.
Little Snitch is off 50% for all licenses:
I made the switch from 1Passworf to Strongbox a year ago (and use KeePassXc on Windows) and have not looked back, I’ve not missed 1password at all.

Same here. I had 6 months left in my 1Password subscription so I kept it installed. After using Strongbox for a few days, there was never a time I wanted to use 1Password instead of Strongbox. I had been using 1Password for close to 10 years and loved it until the last price increase.
I like the previous deal where you pay $80 for $100 gift card. I don’t know what I can do with the $15 amazon credit (I don’t buy from amazon).
Is that for everyone or existing users only?
From their email:
The offer is valid for new subscriptions and additional seats for any existing subscriptions.
Once subscribed, you get to keep the 50% off on next renewal.
I’m another happy camper with Strongbox. I switched last summer, but unfortunately my family stayed behind on 1Password 8.
Sharing passwords with family is more complicated on Strongbox, each shared database would require a separate password in addition to your main database. The app is also unpolished in some areas when compared to 1Password, and might seem intimidating to regular users.
Proton has a new password manager called Proton Pass.
The free plan includes shared vaults with up to 3 people.
There’s also a Black Friday discount for the paid plan:
Inoreader Pro 50% off.
Does anyone have it as a backend? Worth it?
Just to add – re: recurring 50% off for Craft – that, if it happens that for some reason the billing page does not show the discount when you’re up for renewal next year (the glitch happened to some of us who bought the subscription last year on Craft’s second birthday), their support team has been very helpful and quick to update the billing back to 50% off.
For the program Easy Data Transfom.

I can strongly recommend this, a for working in a large education environment, this tool can be very helpful
I used it quite a few years ago and it was a very capable frontend. Im not so sure about using it as a backend as many native RSS readers now support syncing via iCloud.
I have inoreader (not pro) as the backed to Reeder. It is much faster and more reliable for a large number of RSS feeds than iCloud.
Didn’t need the pro features.
