On my ipad i just did a spotlight search and individual books with the Books app showed up. I didn’t have to launch Books and then manually find and open the book I wanted to reference. Did everyone else know about this? Am I crazy? Omg, this makes my life so much more convenient. Also, I may be an idiot.
I have all of the available items checked on the Search Results tab for Spotlight System Preferences. I do see titles from my Books library although it is not obvious which of the Search Results items enables this.
Locally available books are stored in a container of the Library, so why should they not be available in a spotlight search?
i know that they did not for the longest time. At least, I think they did not???
