Bug Report: alias creation by dragging hides open application windows

Known bug in the Mac OS. Has been noticed for several generations of Mac OS. So it is not something new.
When using Shift - Command - Option and dragging an original file to a new destination - the Mac OS automatically makes an Alias and that is what ends up in the new destination and that is fine as that is just what we want to have happen. It is a nice feature of Mac OS. However, all open applications and their windows at the right hand side of the Dock disappear. The applications are still running and their windows can be accessed by clicking the running application on the left side of the dock. But this is a huge pain in the butt. The active applications and their open windows (in the case of browsers) should not just disappear.
