Mac OS 10.15.6 MacBook Air. Strange number listing appears. Any ideas of cause?

What were you doing when this appeared? Can you reproduce it?
I notice you snapped the image with a camera – can it not be captured with a screenshot?
looks like some accessibility feature, like putting a number on the side of each “File” menu element.
Just a guess, not many info to work with =)
