Is there a developer update needed to use Waze with IOS 12 and Carplay? This is one of the IOS 12 features I am most excited about.
Yes. Google will need to update Waze to work with CarPlay. I currently have a beta version of Waze with CarPlay support but haven’t had a chance to test it out yet. I expect you’ll see it in the public release in the next few weeks.
