Catalina deletes google calendar events

Our shared lab calendar has had all some future events deleted. Word on the Net is Catalina does this.

I work with 3 people on Catalina who use Google as their main calendars, flowing into Apple Calendar, and nobody has reported any issues with deleted events. (Me too, but Iā€™m still on Mojave.) Who is reporting this as coming from Catalina?
