Citrix and VMware Horizon on iPad

Hi team. Does anyone have experience of running Citrix Receiver and/or VMware Horizon on an iPad?

My 2011 MBP recently bit the dust. I am considering replacing it with an iPad Pro 10.5 instead of a new laptop. However my wife still has a need to use Citrix for work.

I especially want to understand the experience of using the Apple Pencil to navigate in those environments.

Any insights appreciated.

I’m using Citrix Receiver on an iPad Air 2 occasionally. Mostly since the iPad is the only device (apart from my phone) that I have with me when I’m traveling. With a keyboard cover on the iPad it’s okay-ish in case of emergencies. But Ii wouldn’t recommend it for daily use.
