Just a heads up for anyone working on a Windows platform rather than Mac. Up to now, I have located my main vault on the root drive at C:, but it seems that a recent change in Claude Co-Work requires the working folder to be in the home directory. I’ve had to move my vault into the “Users\Bobby” folder. I’m using Obsidian Sync and simply moving the folder from one location to the other causes no issues or problems with Obsidian.
Yes, I had that issue too. I resisted moving the vault at first, since I like keeping things simple, but now it’s under c:\users\andyh\Obsidian, and it’s fine. I guess the limitation is due to somebody at Anthropic worrying that a clueless user would point Cowork at c:\Windows, and wreak havoc on system files.
