I am a user of Perplexity AI, subscribing at the $20/month level. I like it so far and particularly like the footnotes “supporting” each statement as well as the suggested follow on questions.
Within the last week, I have been trying their Comet browser as my default browser. It appears to be based on a Chromium engine. I turned on the internal security settings as best as I was able to navigate. I am not an expert, just a long time Mac user.
My experience so far has been favorable. Seems as fast or faster than Safari and seems to have less ads than I had with Safari, even with ad blockers turned on. Wondering if anyone else has tried it and their impressions. If you did not try it or tried it and reverted to Safari, talk about that decision. Hoping I am not missing an obvious reason not to use Comet.
