I’m starting to play around with control center. I didn’t realize how customizable it is. How do I find out if an app is part of control center? Also how do I add an app that the developer may not make for control center. Basically I found out you can add apps and I would like to add the Dunkin Donuts app, not sure if I can.
And would anyone like to post a screenshot of control center? I’m trying to figure out what other people have so I can make mine.
There is an option in Control Centre to Open App that can be used to open any app… Open Control Centre > long press on the background (ie not on an app) to get edit mode > scroll to the screen you want to add the item to > tap Add a Control
…and then scroll down to the Shortcuts section, where there is an option to Open App
Tap on the icon that is created and select the app that you want to open. You can also resize the button via the grab handle at the bottom right corner.
If the app has actions available in Shortcuts, you could also set up a Shortcut and then run the Shortcut from Control Centre.
If the developer has created the app with Control Centre actions available, it will show up when you go into the edit mode in Control Centre. I don’t think that there is a list anywhere of apps that have Control Centre actions and there is no field in the App Store, only if the developer mentions it in the text description… perhaps people can mention apps here that have good Control Centre actions (or start a new thread…)
