Cool tips for Apple Mail. Color Mail messages Youtube

That kid’s quite the character, he really gets his use out of his video editor. Enjoyed the video, a lot of what he highlights is why I’ve always used Apple Mail. Mostly, the integration with the rest of the system.

I just color-coded three types of important emails because of this video. Very helpful! Thanks @SteveU75 and video blogger MacVince!

Another topic covered in this video is Mail conversation threading. I have a problem with it, and a workaround:

I use conversation threading and have been continually frustrated that my sent messages aren’t included in the threads even though I have “Preferences > Viewing > Include related messages” checked. It makes conversations nearly useless for me. Here is a workaround while I’m waiting for Apple to respond to the feature request I sent them today (should be fixed in a week or two    ):

To include your Sent messages in your Inbox conversations, Command-click on the Sent folder so that both Inbox and Sent are highlighted. Now Sent will be integrated into Inbox conversation threads.

Thanks for sharing. I learned about Coloring the mail ad-hoc and also, tabs! I didn’t know Mail has tabs. But, it does not seem like I can double click an email and open in tabs, does it? They always open as a separate window.
