Copy - Paste files and folders not working at all

Ever since Mojave (I think) copying or pasting files or folders in finder is impossible.

  • shortcut: cmd-C works (or does not give audio feedback for error), but cmd-v doesn’t,
  • doing it from the menu bar: copy works (or does not give audio feedback for error), but paste does not. (greyed out)

I’ve restarted pboard many many times, started in safe mode, reset PRAM/NVRAM, reinstalled OS and nothing works.

Any ideas on how to fix this ???

Update: Finally figured out what was happening.
The copied app disabled this feature somehow.
Because it was not running it did not figure as a cause for this when starting/stopping apps.

Figured it out after clean install and reinstalling of the apps, and doing a diff.

So: Contacted copied app support and will let everyone know if there’s a solution.
