I need to generate a monthly calendar with all my weekly and monthly bills and income from two wage earners into a printable view.
At the moment, my wife and I sit down with Numbers and read through the list of this data and type it into a Numbers table with the dates of the month already setup.
Next month comes along and we repeat the process and the fun continues!
Is it possible to build a calendar view (monthly) populated from a table or other such data source?
Typical data would include:
grocery shopping on every Wednesday of the month
My pay every Wednesday of the month
Wife’s pay every Wednesday of the month
Mortgage 16th of the month
Electric bill 1st of the month
.
.
.
Hopefully that is clear.
I’d do a search for something like “Calendar generator” online. You can’t be the first person to want to do this.
The other thing that strikes me as somewhat likely is a terminal command to print calendars, though I doubt that would provide output at the level you want it.
I have thought about that but once the Apple calendar exceeds 4 events on one day in month view the extra events are hidden from view with a more……. Link to click.
I don’t see the limit of 4 events when I print a month view in Calendar. Some of my days have 6 events, and they all are listed with plenty of space to have more. With the largest font size selected, then they fill the box, but it’s definitely more than 4.
(This is Calendar 13.0 on Ventura 13.6.)
If you’re seeing a “More…” button, then it sounds like you’re not looking at a print.
ChatGPT 4 did this relatively easily. You could just paste the data from the table, and you could save a lot of time and clicking in calendar! I started with:
Make a visual calendar view (monthly) for printing.
Typical data would include:
grocery shopping on every Wednesday of the month
My pay every Wednesday of the month
Wife’s pay every Wednesday of the month
Mortgage 16th of the month
Electric bill 1st of the month
Then, I asked it to increase the size of the table (double)…
