Create web archive in Safari on iOS 15

I sometimes like to save pages as web archives, which are more dynamic than PDFs but also – depending on the source site – are “durable” for archival purposes. YMMV.

I discovered that creating web archives can be done very easily on iOS 15. (Maybe this has been in iOS since iOS 1, but I don’t know.)

Share a web page, and at the top of the share sheet press “Options >”

From the Options menu select “Web Archive” (or PDF)

Done. Sharing will continue with a choice of destinations as usual.

This has been a feature since iOS 13.

⌘S is the keyboard shortcut for this on the iPad.
