Creating a shortcut for the iPhone Action button (Bear and Wispr Flow)

It’s funny that I just saw the 9to5mac post about the new iOS coming that one will be able to create a shortcut using natural language. But until then… (or not)

I’ve been playing around with Wispr Flow for about a month. Unfortunately, a recent update to iOS made it so much more of a pain to use in a different app. For those that use it, they know the issue. If you invoke the keyboard in something like Messages and hit the Wispr button, you are now forced to go into Wispr then swipe back into Messages so you can use it.

I’m wondering if I can create a shortcut so tie to my iPhone Action button that does the following:

a) Opens up the Bear app and creates a new note
b) Invokes Wispr to start transcribing

Any chance there is a way to do this?

Thanks!

In my app PaperTrail I provide actions that create a note and add to it without needing to launch the app at all. In my case I capture text content that the user can type or dictate (I test using system option).

All this to ask, what does Bear offer? It’s unlikely you can automate the Whispr part.

Among many things, Bear gives me a Mac app. I am a Mac person first.

OK. But what shortcut actions does it surface?
