Deep-Link Capable Mind Mapping App?

I’ve been a fan of MindNode for a long time, and appreciate that you can deep link to specific mind maps, but unfortunately that’s as deep as the linking goes. You can’t link to specific topics, connections, etc. etc.

I’d like to build a personal dashboard of sorts where I can keep track of lots of projects I manage at work and be able to deep link to corresponding OmniFocus projects, DEVONthink items and groups, Drafts/Obsidian notes, Fantastical events, etc. etc. I guess I could make separate MindNode mind maps for every single project, then make an Overall MindNode map that could be sort of a table of contents, but I’m not sure that’s the best method.

I’ve tried a few other mind mapping apps, and even downloaded the trial of OmniGraffle, but sadly none seem to have the ability to deep link to specific nodes or items within a mind map.

I like the idea of a free canvas to drag and drop stuff around in kind of a free flow kanban board of sorts, but also have the ability to jump around that project’s other items/apps with links, etc. in there.

Does anyone know of any tools that might be able to accomplish this? Or am I going about this the wrong way? Thanks in advance for any help!

IThoughtsX certainly lets you deep link to a specific node/topic… eg.,

ithoughts://x-callback-url/amendMap?path=/Local/Release%20Notes%20%287.25%29.itmz&target=48066ACA-92BD-449E-8F41-54F6FA6FB1D0&edit=YES&note=&link=&text=

Also works on iOS.

I’m very interested in this topic… I’d love to organise things I research/find on an infinite (OK, pretty large) mindmap. Similar to TheBrain but a little more modern. I’m not sure if it would overload a standard mind mapping software UI. Alternatively, I need some sort of index/DB/dashboard.

Sweet, thank you for sharing this! I’ll give iThoughtsX a try and see if it fits my workflow.

I second the suggestion of iThoughts here!

In addition to linking between nodes and maps, you can also create maps and nodes via URL schemes, which opens up a world of automation possibilities. I have a “new project” action in Drafts that automates the creation of a new project in GoodTask (aka Reminders) and a new map for that project in iThoughts, each linked to the other. This allows me to use a GoodTask list as an index of all of my active project maps…
