I’ve been budgeting my family income for years with YNAB and to support future long term needs I run a numbers spreadsheet. Part of what I need to achieve each month is to work out the number of a particular day in a given month. For example our children’s school fees are paid weekly on a Friday and some months will have 4 Friday’s and some months will have 5. This dramatically changes the budget for a month when 5 Fridays occur as that is also the day our mortgage is paid.
Is there a way within Numbers to automatically calculate the number of say Friday’s based on a month and year?
I’ve tried a table with a range of dates and I can work out the number of Fridays that way using the DUR2DAYS function. Then I looked at Index and match examples but they all seem to need a lot of prep work to get consistent results.
Is there a way to achieve what I am trying to do?
