I’m not sure how I missed this, and for some of you this may not be new information, but it is to me so I’m passing it along as I suspect there are others who may be unaware of this particular feature.
If you take notes in Apple Notes, either by typing or with the Apple Pencil, you can then select that note or highlight text within that note, send it to Reminders, and then Apple Intelligence will identify tasks in that note and offer to send those individual tasks directly to Reminders. I tested it and it works perfectly. I have to say that I’m surprised, but also delighted.
Do the action items in the Note need to be checkbox/checklist items or did AI figure out tasks from the text itself?
Did the AI miss any action items or was it comprehensive?

It figured itself out on its own. However, your mileage may vary so I do recommend that if you are typing you indicate with an appropriate symbol that this is a task and put it under a heading such as follow-ups etc. I always use the Apple Notes task list feature.

I have not been able to get this to work in other apps in the same way. For now, it appears to be a Notes to Reminders feature. Perhaps others have a difference experience.
I stand corrected. It seems to depend on the app I use to take notes with follow-ups to send to Reminders. For example, when I tried this in the Drafts app (which by the way, has an action to send tasks to Reminders) it worked:
This is a great trick! If I’m taking notes with an Apple Pencil, I don’t seem to have the option to share a copy with reminders. Does this need to be converted to text first?
