Do Tags in Notes on iOS 15 Transfer to Notes on Mac?

iOS 15 allows the creation of Smart Folders based on tags, but this does not seem to be supported in the Notes app on the Mac at this time. Is there a workaround or should I wait for Mac OS Monterrey to see if this feature is added?

In the latest Monterey beta I was able to create a smart folder Apple Notes based on tags.
