Has anyone ever had this happen before? Any ideas why?
All my carefully curated icons - gone! Fucking hell… 
If you have a backup, does it help to restore a copy of ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.dock.plist ?
don’t have one - I’ll just manually rebuild it, slight pain
