Does Safari on mobile ever just get “stuck”?

Safari on mobile (mainly iPad) sometimes gets “stuck.” I’m not able to activate links or navigate. I have to close and reopen Safari, and then everything will work properly.

Is anyone else experiencing this?

Constantly! Most notably on my iPhone

I occasionally have this happen.

Sometimes I’ll have a tab that stops responding. Never the whole app.

Well, at least I’m not alone. :slightly_smiling_face:

Yes, I occasionally get this. I use 1Blocker, and usually turning off the blocking (which forces a reload of the page) fixes it. I haven’t been able to determine what causes it or even what sites trigger it.

I haven’t had that behaviour. Are you on Betas at all?

Immediately on opening yes and so does everything else that needs an Internet connection. The iPhone seems to be very slow to connect to my WiFi router. Often have to nudge it by turning WiFi off and back on again in Settings.

Yes. I’ve found clearing the cache seems to help.

No, but I have ad blockers and Super Agent running.

Yes, I think it’s not unusual to experience it if you have some content blocker extension, they deny the cookie consent popup and thus the site becomes unresponsive (and the whole browser with it).

I have an iPad Pro 2nd Gen mainly used with an Apple Magic Keyboard and periodically I type into the Safari address field and nothing happens until I detach it and start again.

I am not running any beta software.
