Drafts and Text and Send Later

Is there anyway to construct a text in Drafts but still be able to utilize the Send Later feature in Apple messages?

I don’t think there, is but am happy to be proven wrong.

The way I’ve done this – for more years than I care to remember – is with an x-callback URL Drafts action with the Due app.

So, when the notification pings in Due, click/tap on the callback URL and it will send the text to messages. You can set up specific contacts etc.

Ideally, the “Send Later” facility would be exposed to Shortcuts/URL scheme, but I’ve not come across a way to do this. You could of course use a Personal Automation in Shortcuts to send a message in the background, but this may not be what you are after.
