I ran across the Drafts backup folder while searching for old files (~/Library/Mobile\ Documents/iCloud~com~agiletortoise~Drafts5/Documents/Backups). I had files in there from 2020! The disk usage wasn’t excessive as of course the files are just text.
I was about to make a Hazel rule to clear out excess backups, but I decided to check Draft’s settings. The settings screen for Drafts has looks like this and I had not explored the additional choices beyond what shows in standard width:
Once I opened the Backups tab, I could see Greg has already provided what we need to manage backups without using Hazel.
When I changed my settings to Last 30, the older files weren’t automatically deleted.
Worth checking this setting if you are a Drafts user (I’m starting to phrase my sentences like Claude!).
