I need to email a couple of pdfs that have confidential information on it. I thought about password protecting each pdf. Was wondering if it would be more secure to zip and encrypt somehow or is there a more secure method? If so, what software would you use to encrypt the attachments?
Out of the box, I think the PDF encryption in macOS is stronger than the zip encryption. So I’d probably just do that unless you want to mess with a secure file attachment service like SendSafely.

Does the recipient use a Mac? If so you could put your files in an encrypted dmg file.
