I’d be surprised if anyone here beside @MacSparky himself would get this, but after installing Endel on my phone and wearing my Airpod Pros (set to Noise cancellation, for which they excel in a noisy shop), brother did I get into the zone. I spent a good part of the day cutting and planing countless board feet of 5/4 hickory and I couldn’t have been in more of a zen state. Supposedly neuroscience-backed Endel generates soundscapes nonstop, was set to “Focus” and combined with processing that wood (TBH, already satisfying in it’s own way) became a flow state that I haven’t enjoyed since… well, I don’t know. It made for an enjoyable and oddly not particularly tiring day of hard work.
Highly recommended - the app and the milling. ![]()
