Facetime audio issues (but not Facebook Messenager or MS Teams)

Hi

I have an issue where my counterparts are unable to hear me via Facetime, but strangely not if I call them via Facebook Messenger app, or Microsoft Teams. Then it works right out of the box.

I’m a bit embarressed having to write this post, hope you can help.

I have a an M2 MacBook Pro, works like a charm :slight_smile:

Going into Settings, I can see that my voice registers just fine.

Am I missing any settings? And if so, where?

When I go to Settings > Privacy > Microphone I can’t see FaceTime on the list, but I can see FaceBook Messenger & MS Teams. Is FaceTime missing?

Under “Video” in the menu bar of FaceTime, do you have the correct microphone selected? I found on system updates, it would revert to the system setting, rather than my mic interface.

Worth a check first.

It was set to MS Teams - how is that even possible???
