I’ve been waiting for ages for my work to approve the upgrade to M4 iPad and they finally got me a M4 1TB 11” in silver/white Smart Keyboard.
I’m coming from a 13” 2018, so I was expecting to see a big difference.
I’ve never been happier with an upgrade. I prefer the size as it’s more portable. The performance is noticeably better and the form factor is amazing (especially the weight in the Smart Folio). The new screen is incredible. Even the Smart Keyboard looks amazing with the metal finish and white colour (I came from Space Grey).
If you’re still on the 2018 iPad Pro this is worth it. The only snag for me was a 1 hour wait at the phone store as I couldn’t migrate from a physical to e-sim automatically. Nevertheless, they sorted it in 10 mins.
I also just recently got a white/silver M4 11" iPad. Gave my daughter my M1. I’m a little afraid of the white back getting very dirty… ordered some dSkin covers for the keyboard just in case.
Yes, I’ve got the white keyboard case but use a blue folio cover most of the time, mainly as I like using it in portrait most of the time, but partly out of fear for getting it dirty. Then, when I’m not working I keep the keyboard in a safe place away from my kids!
Oh my, you’re going to make my holidays and ruin my budget
I’ve been bouncing back and forth between upgrading to a Pro 11" or a Pro 13". The 13" form factor is better for note taking side-by-side with a book, the 11" carries better. I’m always filling up a cart on the Apple Store then clicking away.
Yes, mainly because the pencil I was using is not compatible. It’s also a nice upgrade and the squeeze gesture is much better than the previous two tap for eraser.
It’s a really solid upgrade, including all the accessories.
The 11" is the perfect compromise. A 13" is definitely better for side-by-side note-taking and a mini for reading on the couch. I can’t justifying buying two, so I split the difference.
