FineWoven iPhone 15 cases - I am disappointed

The first leather iPad covers were great, but supposedly the metal hinge was scratching iPads, but I never had that issue with it. It looked great as the leather wore, as well. Then they did the fake leather ones, and mine did last 2-3 years before it fell apart beyond use, but it felt cheap. It wouldn’t stay rolled up as the first version did either.

The very first iPad cover had to be the worst Apple product ever. It looked horrible and was uncomfortable to hold. it felt like a product just thrown together so they had something to ship.

The Finewoven might not be the prettiest case, but it is durable, solid, and slides in and out of pockets easily. I have no complaints with it. It’s a good case, just not as good as the leather case it replaced. Stern might just be really rough on cases/phones.

We bought the first generation iPad with the cover, and the cover was so bad we removed it and eventually threw it out! But that first gen iPad was no winner either. It came with iOS 3 or 4 and was only upgradable to 5. No multitasking. 1.5 to 2.5 years of OS support depending on when it was purchased.

Sorry, but that looks a mess.

That’s an exaggeration, and if you saw it in person in normal lighting you wouldn’t think twice about it. It is a little worn, but it’s not falling apart and it works great. Anyway, it’s a case, I expect anything made of a softer material to have some wear, tear, and discoloration. I would buy it over the Apple silicone case or most 3rd party cases.

I understand that not everyone likes the feel of it, and it while it does age like suede, without the natural look, it’s still a good solid case.

I also have this case. For me, the blue back has a similar look, but the plastic edge is peeling away. I used an Apple leather case for each of my previous iPhones, and those cases lasted for the life of the phone. I will likely have to replace this case in a month or two—the peeling plastic looks terrible. One of the few Apple products I’ve regretted buying.

I always have Otterbox covers. They are a bit pricey and heavy but definitely sturdier. They pretty much last the entire lifetime with my iPads

I agree with this. I’ve had the iPhone 15 in a finewoven case since October and I like the feeling initially. I still think it’s feels good. But it doesn’t handle wear well at all - the price considered.

Does anyone if any of the new cases will fit the iPhone 15?
