Stickies has the ability to float over other windows, but not in full screen mode (spaces). Is there any way to fix this, or another app that will do this? I tried creating a “notification” in Shortcuts, but it disappears after a time.
Found this in the Hammerspoon docs:
a window can only be moved from a user space to another user space – you cannot move the window of a full screen (or tiled) application to another space. you also cannot move a window to the same space as a full screen application unless

So maybe it can be done with Hammerspoon.
Don’t use full screen mode but instead move to a new space, open Stickies there, and resize the app window to maximum size.
But the built-in video player of safari can float well on all full-screen apps…I don’t see why stickies are not able to do that. Hope it will be fixed.

Not likely. Stickies hasn’t been changed in over 20 years. (Just a guess based on I’ve never seen it ever changed.) I’m just glad Stickies hasn’t been removed altogether – at one point they heavily encouraged moving everything to Notes.
