Folder Preview Pro: Next-Level Quick Look Extension for Folders

Hi everyone! Developer of Anybox and Folder Preview here.

I recently released a new quick look extension for folders called Folder Preview Pro. It’s built on Folder Preview except it’s unsandboxed.

By removing the restriction of sandbox, the extension is capable of showing file thumbnails, and performing actions like copying and opening files and folders. You can even navigate to other folders.[1] The experience feels like a mini-Finder within the quick look window.

You can get the app for one-time purchase of USD $9.99.

Hi! Have already grabbed the tool a few weeks ago, very handy when you need to find something and don’t exactly know which folder it would be in. Will probably find other use cases down the road.

Thanks! For me the icons view works pretty well when I need to find a screenshot in the screenshots folder.

I’m finding Folder Preview Pro very helpful. In addition to the Quick Look functionality, I like that it shows detailed information in Finder’s Preview pane when I have a folder selected.

On a side note, I’m a big fan of AnyBox as well. It’s significantly better than the bookmarking feature I’ve seen in any browser. It’s also very helpful to be able to switch browser and still have access to all my bookmarks.

Pinning and Any World Clock are also quality apps that I use regularly.

I assume you meant to say Folder Preview Pro and not Finder Preview Pro :grinning:

Yes. Correction made. Thanks.

Hi, any chance you could also enable quick look for files within a folder by pressing space bar again - would make app even better

The interaction is not really possible because of the macOS limitation.
