Fordham Law Professor Dusts Off His Childhood Apple IIe

This was a nice Twitter thread from a Fordham Law professor who finds his childhood Apple IIe in the attic and starts it up. Brought back some memories for me from that time.

There are several videos on Youtube where folks, restore and use old computers. The old Apple computers I enjoy. We never had an Apple at home. Our first home computer was a Sanyo MBC-555. The spreadsheets and documents were the neatest thing about it.

When I was a senior in high school my school replaced all the apple IIe computers with PCs. This was right about the time the world wide web was taking off. They were selling them for $120 a piece. I thought about buying one. I regret not jumping on that.

Sure you can run the old programs through a terminal, it isn’t the same.
