Folks should be aware:

MacOS

MacOS has unofficial support provided by the community. The app mostly works but for a few quirks. Unfortunately, you will have to compile the source in order to run it, as there is currently no installer available.

Yes, that’s exactly why I’ve passed up on Ghostwriter up to this point.

Another FOSS choice, which has a normal macOS installation, is CotEditor.

I know, building from source is a bit of a challenge sometimes. I built it some time ago and it did work, so have been using it off and on for a few weeks. (mainly as I also use it on my linux machines)

I attempted to build and got a fatal error: ‘KCoreAddons/KAboutData’ file not found

I am sad.
