I must admit I’m losing interest a bit in this series now. The last two episodes - certainly the one before todays, was a bit lacklustre.
It’s deviated quite a bit from the books - which, OK, may be better for the TV, but isn’t gripping me like some of the other Apple TV items (like Ted Lasso).
I don’t know what I expected but so far it’s been OK. I don’t subscribe to Apple TV+ year round, but that’s true of all streaming services. Not enough content. But I returned to ATV+ in September for Ted Lasso and stayed for Foundation.
At this point the showrunner may be “ambitiously hoping to tell Isaac Asimov’s science-fiction story over the course of eighty hours” but I’m not sure I’ll last that long.
Yes, the “elevator pitch” for the TV series comes from the books and I recognize many of the character names. But that’s it. TV show plot points were not in the books I read.
