For those going between python, R, and other programming languages, you might consider Jupyter Notebooks or Jupyter Lab. I run the kernel directly rather than through the internet.

Does it still work in end 2025?
Yes and no. It no longer works on any Kindle books. Just before the great shutdown by Amazon I got as many books on my wish list as I could and did the deDRM on them. Then I switched to Kobo for all electronic books. Which it still DOES work on with a semi convoluted process but doable.
