I’m looking for free software to split an AVI file into two separate files. I want to emphasize “free” because I only need to do it once. Any suggestions would be great.
I’m not familiar with avi but QuickTime can trim videos. Worst case use handbrake to convert to mov/mp4 then split (by trimming) with QuickTime.

Your method totally worked for the one time I did it too. Now my Plex library is more accurate.
