Saw a news item on Fujitsu’s web that beginning in April the ScanSnap scanners will be relabeled as Ricoh. Seems that Ricoh bought Fujitsu. Wonder if it will make any difference in the software support?
Just a correction: Ricoh bought Fujitsu’s scanner business last year, not the whole of Fujitsu.
We had that topic a couple of days ago.
I have no good experiences with Ricoh, so I do not know, if I am happy with that development.
On the other hand was the Experience regarding Software with PFU also not the best in my experiences, so lets see what really happens…
My problem is that I’m using a S1500M and they say it’s not supported by the Home software. Currently running ScanSnap Manager 7.2 L60 under Ventura on a M1 iMac with no issues.
I guess at some point I’ll have to upgrade but my 1500 is still working well after scanning 20-30k pages, needing only occasional cleaning.
Don’t see that as a problem. Stick with it.
