Getting CarPlay Widgets To Work On iOS 26

I’m running the public betas of iOS 26 on my iPhone.

I believe I’ve set up some widgets - in CarPlay settings.

But I don’t think they’re showing up on my car’s screen, unlike lots of nice apps.

Any thoughts on how to troubleshoot this - or what I should be looking for onscreen?

I have no solution, but the exact same question.

My head unit is quite a big one with 10’', no widgets anywhere, although I have created two smart staples on my iPhone for the CarPlay device.

They have to be enabled:

The thing is: I have them enabled - and they do not show up anywhere. I have no idea what I am doing wrong. :slight_smile:

EDIT: I am currently not able to check this, but I may have missed seeing the widgets because of looking for them in the wrong place?

Applecations: If you’re still on the beta, you need to click the bottom left corner button to return to the Home Screen, then you need to swipe on the screen to the right so you have the left most page displayed that should have your widgets

I’ve swiped past pages of icons numerous times - without the widgets showing up.

Apparently you are swiping between CarPlay Home pages. You need to switch to CarPlay Dashboard.

  • Switch between CarPlay Dashboard and CarPlay Home: CarPlay Dashboard displays several items you likely want to view or control, such as driving directions, audio playback, and suggestions from Siri. CarPlay Home shows all your CarPlay apps organized into pages.To go to CarPlay Home, tap the Home button on the touchscreen, or turn the rotary knob to select the Home button, then press the knob.To go to CarPlay Dashboard, tap the Dashboard button, or turn the rotary knob to select the Dashboard button, then press the knob.

Then swipe from left to right.
