The app price started at $5, and I adjusted it according to high demand. I hate subscriptions, but I wish more people would buy that instead of lifetime purchase. So I increased the lifetime price to balance it, and now I’m getting similar subscription vs lifetime purchases. That will help me to keep the app up to date for many years also I won’t make any re-releases to force people buy it again like others doing.
Thanks for the reply, apologies however I totally missed the monthly/yearly/lifetime subscriptions option in the Lite app. Please consider my feedback above as irrelevant, uninformed and wishing that I had done a bit more reading before replying. I’ll edit the post also.
Sorry @IGHOR
PS - Any possibility of a SetApp appearance for DockLock?
At the moment, Setapp isn’t a good fit for DockLock Lite. Setapp’s developer payouts are based on user interaction and foreground usage, which works well for traditional apps with visible interfaces. However, DockLock Lite is designed to run silently in the background, often in invisible mode (no Dock, no tray icon), doing its job automatically without direct user engagement.
Because of that, Setapp wouldn’t register meaningful usage for it - and apps like this typically receive little or no revenue on the platform, regardless of how useful they are.
That said, I understand the need for flexible payment options. I’m currently focused on finishing DockLock Pro, which will have additional features and refinements. Once that’s complete, I’ll look into adding more payment methods for both versions - including one-time purchase and alternative platforms.
Thanks again for your support - it really helps drive development forward.
