I’m trying to turn on Safari notifications for new G Suite email in Safari, and it’s just not working – I am not receiving notifications for new email.
I’m running Safari Version 13.0.5 (14608.5.12) on Mojave 10.14.6 (18G3020).
How do i get this to work?

You do this in Gmail, not Safari.
Go to your Gmail (GSuite) account
click on gear (settings)
under General tab, enable Desktop Notifications

Why not use Google Chrome, or Brave? G Suite works better and Google isn’t tracking everything you do in Safari. It works well for me.
Brave works, but I’d like to consolidate on one browser. Other than notifications, Gmail works fine in Safari.
In Safari I find that those notifications for Gmail work only when I am in the Gmail tab. I could be wrong though.
