I have a couple of pairs of the old Apple Pro speakers sitting in my parts bin. Loved those speakers back in my Quicksilver G4 days. I would like to dust them off and try to put them to use again with my iMac.
I found this article describing the process.
Has anybody done this or something similar? Worth the effort? Amp recommendations?
I see in the article it mentions “Please note that the Apple Pro Speakers don’t sound too loud, but that’s by design”. How compromised is the sound? I don’t remember ever thinking these speakers weren’t loud enough when I used them with my Quicksilver G4.
