My Battery Story

When it came out, I bought a MacBook Pro 16" w/ Max Chip
Even though Apple said battery life would be higher my average what about 7 1/2 hours.

Recently, I was listening to Allison Sheridan podcast talking about her decreased battery life issues.
Several weeks ago I noticed that my battery life had dropped from 7+ hours to about 4 1/2 hours. Quite a dramatic drop.
I looked into various things and did not see a reason for this drop in battery life.
And then I saw a notification that said “Avid Link” is using significant energy.
This was part of some software I was testing but not planning on using long-term.

So with a bit of digging, I was able to remove “Avid Link” and now my battery life it’s back to about 7+ hours.
Just thought I would share this.
