Have different heat profiles dependent on me sitting in my office

My work desk at home, is setup in the conservatory. For those who don’t know what that is, it’s an extension to a home where two or three sides are made of UPVC and glass.

This isn’t a problem for me, but for one thing. Because it’s an add on to the house, and it’s not insulated on the exposed sides, it gets cold when it’s cold outside.

So I have an electric heater in there which, if the temperature drops below 10 degrees Celcius, it turns the heater on until it reaches 13 degress and then switches itself off again. This is facilitated by the temperature sensor in a Homepod Mini, a Meross smart switch, and the home app automations.

I set this up before it became my home work space to stop the space getting too cold as it had a few electronics in it. Easy. The temperature shouldn’t drop below 10 degrees.

Now that I’m working from there, 10 degrees is too cold, but I work hybrid between home and our office, and much as I’d like it to be on a set schedule, it’s not always possible.

So when I’m at home AND I’m working, I’d like to set the minimum and maximum temperature a little higher. E.g. not when I’m at home but in bed sleeping at night.

The whole idea is to only raised the thresholds when I’m in the office, so I’m not wasting money heating a space which doesn’t need it.

In the space is a Homepod Mini, during the day I don’t need the lights on usually, My Mac is upstairs and I have a Windows laptop and an Eero WAP.

Does anyone have any idea on how I could do this so that when I’m in that space to raise both thresholds by 6 degrees.

My iphone knows where I am as when I go to play music it prompts me to attach to the Homepod.

All help gratefully accepted.

I use a presence sensor it requires a hub and works with HomeKit for automations. I use it for lights; it triggers a scene when the space is occupied and another when it’s empty. This might be an issue with the glass walls, you can set distance.

Thanks, I’ll have a look at that.
