I have a Nest Smart Programmable Wifi Thermostat, Model 1.4 (the $130 model that came out Fall, 2020). It has worked very well as a wifi controlled thermostat. However, recently, it regularly goes “Offline” for no apparent reason, requiring a manual “Restart” at the physical thermostat (through the “Settings” menu). I can’t find a way to keep it from intermittently going offline and requiring a manual restart. Certainly this won’t work when I’m away and want to turn up the AC or the Heat to get the house comfortable before returning home. Has anyone had experience with this and been able to “fix” it to where it’s stable and stays online. BTW, my wifi is AT&T Fiber and is very stable, very solid, hardly ever going out.
I would appreciate any ideas on how to fix this. Thanks!
