Hinge on 2016 Touch Bar 13" MacBook Pro

I have a protective shell on my 2016 Touch Bar 13" MacBook Pro. The top layer of the shell needed replacing so I took it off to put on the new one — and noticed this indentation on the outside of the lid — and it’s on the left and right hand side where the hinges are. There’s a similar issue on the inside. Anyone seen anything like this before? Thanks

I have seen that crease on the outside of the display assembly before. Most of the time, the computer had fallen or slid off a bed/chair while open. One person admitted that they carry/move the computer by picking it up by a corner of the display. Can you compare your MBP to another and see how far back the display opens? I wonder if your tilts back further than normal. Do you have AppleCare+ coverage?

Thanks. Can’t work out how it happened. Took it to Apple Genius and they will fix it for AUD$750. Thanks
