I’ve used at the least attempted to use Binary Formations Home Inventory over the years and never quite
got my stuff properly accounted for. My 18 month old Dishwasher just croaked and it took
me longer than it should have to retrieve the warranty and serial number data. Which again
caused me to think about managing my home inventory.
I was pleased to see a March 23rd Blog post from Binary speaking on the next version which will be heavily expanded beyond just Home inventory. A YouTube video explains that they have essentially done a re-write of a re-write based on the changes Apple has made to API and overall direction.
I’m pleased with this and the Tweet that Delicious Monster sent out speaking on a future version of Delicious Library.
Tools today need to account for the massive increase in our digital assets. In addition many that rely on Amazon’s structured data need to find a way to crowdsource data that is freely accessible to all.
