How best to automate export from Apple Watch into Google Sheets?

Taking another stab at this inquiry after some tinkering yesterday- I’d like to start using my Apple watch to track my running. I don’t care if this is though Apple’s Workout app for watchOS or some other app as long as the data collection is accurate. BUT- I want to be able to access this data within Google Sheets with as little manual interaction as possible.

I was playing around with Workouts, Shortcuts and IFTTT as a potential way to achieve this but struggling with how to export completed runs into Sheets; doesn’t seem like this is possible by any straightforward means within IFTTT unless I am missing something. If anyone has any suggestions to get this working by similar means or otherwise I would appreciate it, thanks!

If this data resides in the Health app, you could export it as a csv file using the Health Auto Export app. Then open it in Sheets.

I do something similar with csv files I download from my bank. But since it’s just open, copy, and paste I haven’t bothered to automate it.

This is an interesting app! Playing around with it now… seems like it will need quite a bit of configuring to do what I was hoping; this is complicated. Lot of permissions need to bet set up before anything works as advertised, but I appreciate the lead – will see if I can tinker some more with it in the coming days.

I’ve used HealthFit in the past to export health data to Google Sheets, it may do what you want.
