How do I stop Skype (on my Mac) from using my iPhone camera on startup?

When I startup a Skype video call with my phone a couple of feet away from my macOS laptop, it uses my iPhone as the call’s camera. Could someone assist me with disabling this feature for ever?!

I look forward to hearing from you.Thank you in advance.
Cheers
Neil

Hmm, is this potentially Continuity Camera? If it is and you never want to use it, you could disable on your phone via Settings > General > Airplay > Continuity Camera.

You could also try changing the camera in Skype’s for Mac’s video settings while Continuity Camera is enabled, but I don’t know what it would take to make that option never appear while keeping your phone available for Continuity Camera for other apps.

My iPhone did that when I upgraded to iOS 16. As @cornchip said, just disable the Continuity Camera feature on your iPhone.
