How do I use my Onedrive for Backup?

I have this 1TB of Microsoft Onedrive space from my Office subscription. I would like to use it as an offline backup storage place. But how? I could just have a folder with a copy of my timemachine backups set to sync with Onedrive. But that would mean I have all the data redundantly on my HD. Any better ideas?

I’m using OneDrive in combination with Arq for encrypted backup.
Works really good! You can even backup external drives or your NAS to OneDrive with Arq.


I second the recommendation for Arq with OneDrive.

I’ve been using it for a year to backup two laptops.

Never had a problem.
